Many people may not realize that the Van Wezel Foundation operates as a partner, but independently, of the city owned and operated Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Established in 1987, the Foundation is a charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has directed millions of dollars in support of the Hall's capital improvements, programs and ongoing educational efforts.

The mission of the Van Wezel Foundation is to create a world-class performing arts center that enriches the community, supports arts education and inspires young minds.
