Commitment to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
The Van Wezel Foundation remains committed to the 
continuing excellence of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. The Hall has been entertaining audiences with a variety of music, dance, theatre and comedy programs for over 40 years.
The Van Wezel Foundation has provided generous support to:
- Provide funding for the Van Wezel's education programs.
- Provide busing reimbursements for public schools from Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties.
- Sponsor 2010/2011 Van Wezel season programs
- Annually sponsor free FridayFest summer concerts on the bay front
- Purchase new Steinway pianos
- Remodel the Harvey Rothenberg Founder’s Lounge and Guest Artist Meet & Greet Room
- Lead a Capital Campaign which raised $5 million for the Hall's removation in 2000
